“Tingkeban”

            Tingkeban is a traditional salvation ceremonial in Central Kalimantan for the unborn baby aged seven months. It was called “ Seventh Monthly” in general. The purpose to gratitude to Allah SWT who gave the healthy for the unborn baby.This culture is happen when there is a couple birth nine times but none of them alive. There are some step of ceremony are First, spray carried by elders and husband with read Al-fatihah, Al-ikhlas, Al-falaq, An-nas three times and ayat kursi seven times. Second, replace clothing ceremony conducted by the type of fabric as much as seven pieces with different motifs to wear choose the best in the hope that one day the baby also has the virtues implicit in the symbol of the fabric. Next, the feast as a celebration, there are some offerings which usually need to be prepared. Finally, the ceremony dragged mat for the fist time out of the house, it has the intention that easy baby in the birth. Why do you think Tingkaben different with other  culture? Because the tradition only exist when the women is pregnant seventh monthly and different the step with other culture. In conclusion, the Tingkeban tradition do to ask for the safety of unborn baby.

It is usually blend pineapple, long beans, menggala, nila fish and seasons.  The food is very delicious with unique sauce and great texture. And many people like this food. I want to share about how to make Juhu Asem Kanas ? First, boil water until boiling, sliced menggala and then menggala input until ripe. Second, pineapple input with seasoning which are already in grind. Next, nila fish input and wait until boiling. Finally, long beans input which are already in pieces and ready to serve. In conclusion, Juhu Asem Kanas is favourite and delicious food in Central Kalimantan.
